Welcome to Our Toddler Room

22-35 months

Staff ratio 1:4

Located on the ground floor, this is a wonderful open space for your child to enjoy structured and free play activities such as using sand and water, making collages, building using blocks, jigsaw puzzles and the home corner for reading. The children have free access to a wide variety of toys, books and educational play on computers. The emphasis in this room is learning through play which focuses on the prime areas: personal, social and emotional development, communication and language and physical development. All activities are planned through monitoring and assessing the children’s individual needs and emerging skills.

Your child will have a key person in this group who will support and work closely with staff in the baby room to ensure that the transition is as smooth as possible and this room is where a gentle routine is introduced to the children. All activities will be planned using observation, planning and assessment, allowing us to identify individual children’s learning.
